Owners Kristin and David Billings spent hours mulling over possible names for the bar. Over dinner one night they discussed the location of the place. The idea that it was on "top" of the Appalachia Kitchen restaurant. The idea that guests would hopefully "cap" off their day of skiing with food and drink from the bar and grill.  All of a sudden it came to them. Tuque's was perfect! In honor of David's french-Canadian heritage, a tuque is a Quebec word meaning a stocking cap or a winter hat, sometimes with a pom-pom on top. Have you ever seen the movie Strange Brew? They used the term in the movie, eh?
